big bass ?

this is my second time fishing for bass . i want to catch.i am going out this weekend . are the big bass in yet? are the blues out yet? what should i use?

I dont mean to sound harsh but bear with me.

What do you consider a big bass? Do you expect to go out and catch them every trip? Every third trip? It took me about 20 years before I caught a decent bass, and I was out a lot of times. Then again the bass fishing during the mid eighties was very poor.

A word of advice, go out, have fun and consider yourself lucky if you catch a big fish. Dont expect it or you will be disappointed. The bass fishing has been awesome the last few years and I wish you luck, you may get that big bass soon. Just dont expect it to happen in your first two or three trips.

I have been fishing from Raritan Bay/Sandy Hook to Great Bay/Little Egg Inlet for over 30 years, caught many many fish and only have a few decent bass to show for it. I dont consider any of them big. The decent ones all came in the last few years, for a long long time I had small fish.
