My daughter just went to a educational event held by our local Surf Anglers Assocation. She wants to get some saltwater fishing stuff to start her off. I am a single Mom and can only do so much. If anyone can donate any old saltwater fishing gear it would be appreciated.

I can't ship you equipment (I am in FLA), but I have some fishing books. I can email you titles and she can decide which she may like. I believe there are some great women angler clubs in S. Jersey also. I am sure some of the men here could guide you to them. All the best to your daughter.:)

I hope this is legit. i was taken by a woman years ago at a yard sale. she told me this sob story about her handicapped grandson and not having any money. i gave her about 1000 dollars worth of kids toys for around 50 bucks and delivered it to her house too. next day it was on her front lawn for sale. neighbors said she does this all the time. hopefully she just cannot spend that much time on the bass barn like we do.

No I think he gave you the benefit of the doubt. If you would like to focus on one area to receive things from, target that area. BB covers wide geographical area.
There are many many good people here. I wish you the best with helping your daughter get involved in a lifetime sport. It will get her through good and bad times. It will always give her something to work towards.

I am very sorry for your situation. I think Big Brother/Big Sister can also help and there are many Fishing Clubs in South Jersey full of very generous people. They could be very helpful teaching her also.
If you can understand, we see a new name and 1 or 2 posts and your asking for help, people here offered it/no condition or explanation. They never asked your situation and that speaks volumes about the members here and how they are willing to help another fisherman.

I think Becky has enough fishing takle now. She has a 12' pole, 10' pole, 8 1/2' pole all w/reels and a bunch of plugs. Somebody is sending her fresh bait gear. So...looks like I will be spending alot of time on the beach!

My girlfriend doesnt understand why I have 70 some outfits and still buy a half dozen or so more every year...I tell her I need a different outfit, for every type of fish. Same with guns, you can never have too many... Good luck in the Surf Becky, Thats one sport that I dont get into

If times are that tough for you that you cant buy your kid a 29 dollar fishing outfit and it means that much to you then you should use your energy trying to better your finances.A single mom with 2 jobs taking care of a kid and has no money but still has the time chat online? Sounds like a person that has had things handed to you for a long time. If im wrong i am sorry but times are tough for everyone these days. Stay offline get another job with that time buy your kid a pole and send some money to the homeless.
