tying lures

can you please tell me when fishing with lures and plugs should i be tying them right to the line or can i tie them to a swivel.

Bucktails and plugs I use a uni loop (locked). Or a breakaway clip. With metals I prefer using a swivel about 3 feet in front, of a breakaway clip.

i like to use about 3 feet of flouro with a spro swivel to attach leader to main line. then a duo snap at the other end. use a small snap this way you can change lures easily. make a loop halfway up and slip on a teaser. I dont catch much so maybe this isnt a good idea:huh:

No, I use a Florocarbon leader 40 or 60 lbs. test.
Braid/ Swivel/ Florocarbon leader ( 4 ft. )/ Breakaway clip (or Uni loop)
