I had a chance to head out to the rips Tuesday morning before the next blow. Headed out around 9 am to one of my usual spots and dropped in 2 lines, both with spot since the water was dirty. No sooner did I get both lines in the water that 1 starts screaming off line. Felt like a nice bass, I got her up to the boat and as she turned I could tell it was the biggest bass I ever hooked. My leader was at least 38 inches and when she turn for another run her tail came up wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy past the leader. I have a superstition of not getting my net our until the 1st fish is by the boat, well I got her back along side the boat and was trying to get my net out whennnnnnnnnn, I PULLED THE HOOK. Murphy' Law. It really sucked to loss that fish, but I still had fun fighting her. The worst part of this whole story is that was the 1 and only bite I had that morning. I can't wait until this latest front moves through and get at them again. Tight lines and good tails.
