sat nov. 1 : we were chunking in DB (60 ft slough ) tom,my son joe(15) and myself. The damn croakers were tearing up our chunks so i challenged my son to hook one with a 9/0 hook. After much fustration(and a 39" striper) he all but gave up.Shortly after he said" i got that little bastard". he quickly recanted and lowered the bait back down, seconds later he hooked and landeed a decent fluke(later released) with a previously hooked ling.SEE PICTURE11061

I know this year wasn't the best for fluke in the DBay but i found a keeper. or better yet my son did. It was 19". Ain't that bout a bitch. I'm still pissed off at that M&S Act. Commercial by-catch is more annoying than croakers. I fish shrewsberry rocks for fluke and i only bucktail:confused:

I landed a nice keeper flounder this past moday while striper fishing, let her go back to the drink. I was suprised to see such a nice size flounder hanging around in 54 deg. water but I guess thats warmer than the water at the continental shelf where all the flounder go in the winter.
