Ya they work pretty good. The only problem is they don't hold enough chum. You have to fill it up quite a few times per trip.

I used this brand last weekend. We caught fish while it was deployed. Not sure if it was the chum or the heavy amount of chunks thrown into the water. An extra scent cant hurt. Only problem with it...It seems dissolve fairly quickly with a strong current/water temperature. We fished all of the incoming and the chum insert only lasted 2.5 hrs.

We have one and get a 4gal pail of chum per trip. Shove in and drop. Switch about once an hour:thumbsup:

They are good for putting a little chum in and droping it to the bottom to release. You just yank on the rope and the cover comes up and sends out all of the chum while you let your hooked bait drift bach with the chunks.

Works best for me to chunk up a bunker drop to bottem + pull open to get chunks down where they live !! Cut up in small pieces so it doesn't compete with your chunk baits

Thanks for the help guys. The "instructions'' claimed this stuff lasted for 7 hrs. I found that hard to believe. I'll be on the 60 on Friday Chanel 68. Taking my grandson out for his first striper trip.....................hope the fish cooperate;)

Chumming is bad when striper fishing.
