charts and maps

does anyone know where i could get charts with some of the names everyone uses for spots. like 5 fathom slump and the rockpile.... i am new to boat ownership and i am learning alot on the site but i have this big hole in the info because i have no idea of the places anyone is talking about

Welcome to the world of information steamroller.You can get good charts from any bait shop or Boaters World or West Marine.If you have a newer chartplotter it will show spots too. Good luck.

Here's a link for interactive on-line charts. Something you can play with until you get regular paper charts.

Scroll down to chart 12214, (Cape May to Fenwick Island) for 5 fathom bank, ("FA" buoy). Zoom in, out, drag, etc.

There's also a chart for Delaware Bay, (12304).

There are links for purchasing paper charts on the home page, but I've never checked them out. http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/staff/chartspubs.html

Capt Seagulls charts are really good they have all of the spots outlined. I had alot of fun x ing them all out this summer. You can get them at any B&T shop. The FA bouy before the Cape Henlopin run. You'll see it on any chartplotter as well.

Shoreway in West Berlin has the homeport charts.{Cooper Rd.}

thanks for the website, and the info on shoreway, i go there often, but i never saw charts, i will stop in and ask
