Don't know exactly where you staying but my experiance says your boat will be fine. As for docks, i know up in duck ther'es a small marina that rents sail boats during the summer months. I was there two weeks ago and the docks were still in. You maybe able to keep you boat there. There are other places down below nags head and in manteo.I would stop at one of the local bait shops, they should be able to help you. I'm heading down next friday. Good luck.

Mad dog, just noth of corolla theres the old hunting club. It's a few streets before you get to the light house. They may have a boat ramp there , not sure. I ussually stay in corolla in the ocean sands section. There is a bait shop in the food lion shoping center. tHEY SHOULD STILL BE OPEN. pERHAPS THEY CAN STEER you in the right direction.

whoa didn't see that part sorry:wave: what time of year ??
you could expect to catch flounder weekies puppydrum blues and maybe a resident striper this time of year. its still a little early for good striper action
also may want to take a ride down to oregon inlet and fish the sound there and around the bonner bridge or another possability is the bridge going over to pirates cove there is lots of pileings like the bonner and with a skinny water boat you can fish almost all of them
as for docking the boat there should be no problem

They've gotten into some nice (30-45lb class) stripers in the last week or so, but that bite was off Nags Head and on the shoals off OI You can anchor up at night on the bridge at Oregon Inlet and soak some eels. You can also work the surf in the Avalon area for some decent trout and puppy drum. Check with the bait shops when you check into your house and they'll point you in the right direciton...
