pork rinds

Have any of you guys had success with stripers using pork rinds on bucktails? I have read about guys using them from the surf with success. I'm just curious and haven't seen a lot of talk about them here. Any info is much appreciated.

I am guessing you mean the pork strip baits, they work:) Best to soak them in something from the area though like sheddar oil, bunker oil, clam juice. They are tough and hold up real well but they also get filthy in the wash and need to be switched out like any other bait.

I still remember the jar, "Uncle Josh's Pork Rinds". Do they still make them?

I used them all the time growing up. We would use the strips to liven up the lures we trolled. I bought some again this year to add to bunker spoons and jigs. I think they work straight from the jar. But thay are a pain in the neck to remove from the hook afterwards.

I catch 100's of bass every year with bucktails and pork rind from the beach. Uncle Josh 240 is good. It only gets dirty if you are fishing in dirty water. In clean water you can take it off when you are done and put it back in the bottle and use it over and over again. I like red but white is probably just as good. I think rolling it in shedder oil is all in your head but if it makes you fish it with more faith , that's what you should do. You gotta believe. IT IS EASY TO GET OFF THE HOOK IF YOU TURN IT AROUND SO YOU ARE NOT PULLING IT AGAINST THE BARB.
