Picked a couple of keepers from the shorts

Went again today but only had to go off OC to get some fish:). "LTJ" came along. His crippled herrings cought a few shorts and one big flounder that went back:mad:. I had two keepers and lot's of shorts, and one small flounder. Little to much boat traffic! All in all a good morning.:)

I'd say the average depth was about 38 ft.

Nice job TomKat, nice report. We got out after 9:AM tried to find birds with no success. Big Blues were out there cutting of bait. Hit the GE inlet, Cuma Lumps and out front of OC. Heard guys were running through birds at the lumps but not much going on by the time we got there. How did you guys work the crippled herring? Was it a vertical jigging action like a diamond jig or was it more like a bouncing bucktail? I have one and never fished it yet, but would like some tips if you may?

Hungryfisher, you can do either or just cast and retrieve. I was actually kidding LTJ, couse he raves about them. I was using a diamond jig and it was working a little better just jigging.
