Talked some friends into braving the cold yesterday. It was 16degrees when we left home. Went out of the free ramp in CM. Most boats were heading to the bay. I decided that it would be better outside. Turned left out of the inlet around 8am. Found birds immediately. Tried jigging first. Got one short. Then tried baiting for a short, nothing. Then started trolling. used stretch 25's and umbrella with white shad. Started picking up fish. Had several doubles, a tripple and several two fish on an umbrella. They ran about 50% shorts. Ran to the WW Wheel. continued trolling. Boated 16 fish - 7 keepers to 36", one blue, 8 shorts. Water was calm all morning. Sun was warm.
Got back to the ramp with seven in front of us. Everyone was talking and waiting. Then some @$$hole come buzzing through right to the dock. He gets out and gets his truck and backs right in. It was close to a fight sith several of those waiting. He just shouts back "I built this ramp." I don't know who this guy was. He was wearing a SeaGear jacket. He put a bad end to an otherwise great day.
