Went to the sandy hook reef on the advice of basskid and gr8ful thank you guys.We had a good day with 6 nice keeper tog calling it a day around 2:30. Only bad part of the day was some Idiot in a 25 ft sea hunt anchored right on top of our marker buoy he pulled up to about 5 feet from our buoy and anchored from his stern right on top of our buoy so that when we swung on our anchor line and he did not since he had no scope out we ended up 2 feet from him and he would not move. what ever happened to common courtesy or just plain safety. My boat is a 330 grady express i am twice his size but it did not matter to them. even with the stupidty factor it was a good day.

nice report...some a-holes just don't care or think they own the ocean....you're usually better off moving before you stress yourself out over it....least that's what we do.

My boat is a 330 grady express i am twice his size but it did not matter to them. even with the stupidty factor it was a good day.This is the idiot your calling here.Too bad u don't know how to anchor up properly swinging 50' fromside to side.....or is it your pissed because the 4 of us caught 24 blackfish near your marker which u weren't even close too..I pulled up on numbers I had stored not to purposely come up on your marker.That is why I tied off from sternwith the west wind to stay away from your buoy & if you noticed we didn't SWING at all thus the reason for limiting out.If you need some instructions on anchoring will be glad to help out because never saw anyone bit-- about a marker buoy that they weren't even fishing near!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fighting:I do apoligize for you feeling the way you do .but to catch more tog your swing isn't going to get them,you'll learn in time..and I did pull up on anchor rode to get away from you..was just you swinging because I know we weren't moving AT ALL tied off from the stern.......Again I do apologize..
