Mark and myself. We went out last year on Turkey day and decided to make it a habit. It's a short trip.
Left the dock 45 minutes late after finding fresh at Port Norris. Thanks Jeff. The plan was the elbo or further north to find them. All water was 40 to 41 degrees, and no marks. After circling the elbow, then 32 and 34, decided to look shallow. Located a line of marks inshore of 32. Singles, doubles, and piles. 42 degree water. Anchored about 100 feet north of the marks, anticipating the tide turn. Chummin and lines in the water for 3 hours. Not even a sniff. Solid marks under the boat the whole time. Sometimes piles, and sometimes 2 layers. All red, all big, and all near the bottom. For all I know it was a bunch of balloons down there. Whatever they were, there were truckloads of them.
This is it for me. 2008 is a wrap. I had a trip scheduled for today, and cancelled it due to the SCA.
Bait = Very Fresh Bunker.
Location = inshore of 32
Tide = supposed to be outgoing. Never turned.
clarity = OK.
Conditions = 10K W breeze, laid down nicely.
