Brew,
I heard your name on the radio a few times this fall. I am running out of the GE this weekend (Sunday). Weather looks great, plan on laying back a few late season bingel lancers.

Yeah, Redleger. I think I heard that name before too. Nice to hear from you. I heard you've been doing pretty well laying back the lunch meat.
I'll be heading out Sunday as well but out of CM. Radio will be on 68 give me a call, maybe we can knock a few down together. You heading north or south out of GE?

Sunday looks good! The fish will be there and from what I hear there are plenty still up north so we should have at least another full month or more of good bass fishing!!! Can't wait to get my fix!

I plan on fishing the rips and the areas from rips to the 8 bouys. I'm usually on 65 but if i catch, i'll move up to 68 and give a call.
roger that. I'm probably gonna head out front as well to pull some pelts around / or jig. Most likely start at WW Lumps. The rips have produced more shorts than any thing else for me lately. donkey-tooth fishing will be a backup plan if all else fails...

Looking at Sunday out of TI. Give a call on 68. Radio should be "chatter free"! Probably the last shot for us,.. but I am scheduled on the Doris Mae for seabass in 2.5 weeks! Time for some offshore tasty filets.

Brew,
I'll be headed out early tomorrow. Leaving from same place. If I dont see you there in the morning, I'll try and get you on the radio. We have the same plan. Striper/tog combo trip, last one of the year. Is the big guy going with you?

Going to give the rips a try on Sunday, hope we can find some clean water. Shorts on light tackle are a blast, I'm looking forward to it.

Weather keeps changing for the worst every time I check out the predictions "look at today-Saturday" small craft advisory keeps getting bumped up every hour and the winds predictions keep getting stronger. I know its NOAA but the water is 45+ degrees and few boats around on the water so I don't take chances this time of year. To me Sunday looks like the only "okay" day but you have a whole week of Blow before and it looks like a solid 2 days of Blow after sunday-I'm thinking Sunday might turn out to be a Blow also, + south winds UGH!! All I can do is pray for nice weather for next weekend since I'm sporting a 17' cc. Good luck and a safe trip to anyone who goes out this weekend.

The big guy can't make it. I'll be on 68 so give me a call. Or call Evan for my cell number in case its going down somewhere. I think I'm leaving Ventnor at 6:30.

Well, we put the cap on the '08 season by trolling the inshore lumps off TI. The fat lady sung along with the weather report, as the wind cranked up out of the south early for 2-3' seas with a tight chop. So much for 5-10 knts. No fish on the lumps, but a 29"er on the shad umbrella in 27' off the beach of Avalon. Lot's of marks in this area with no birds. Merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year to all. May you be further blessed with more favorable regs for 2009.
Turned out to be a crappy day. I don't have to explain that the forecast was off as others have mentioned already.
We trolled for awhile out of CM up to Hereford area. Nothing home. Did find some nice bait & fish marks off WW but nothing there either. Tryed to jig, but the metal would hit the bottom and then shoot straight out! Didn't have a chance to keep it on the bottom at all with the wind/tide pushing us over 1.5 knts on the drift.
TOTD/Seawolf - thanks for the call and sorry for not realizing who you were. I just put it together. I wasn't going to run any further north than where I was with facing the stiff southernly's heading back to CM. At least you got one. Again, appreciate it.
I'm gonna stay in a couple more weeks and shoot for the donkey-teeth when / if the weather allows.
