Anyone heading out tomorrow. Might be the last hurrah. N wind 10-15 gusts to 20, laying down in the pm to 5-10, seas 2-4. I want to go, need to go........but will wind be too much?:huh:

headed out of Ge at 930. Went right to Cuma Lumps. Fleet of about 5 boats. Trolled 2 strech 25s and 1 shad umbrella rig. had one short on the shad rig. A couple reports of some keepers, but mostly shorts, all on stretch 25s. Water was 43.5. Ocean laid down real nice around noon.:) Marked 2 strong bait balls, trolled right through them and got the short on one, nothing on the other.:( Marked some fish, but real scattered. Trolled for about 3 hrs, then headed in. Inside GE ran into another boat from my marina. showed us a nice fat 34-36" bass, one of 5 just like it trolled on stretches at the bell.:bow: Did not have time to head back out after seeing that fish, but it was a great day to be out before Christmas. :D

Thanx for the report. I was loosing hope that they were all gone south. My friends plans to go out of GE inlet New Years day and the weekend after NYD if the conditions allow.

Do you think they'll still be around?

headed out of GE this morn. about 730ish...real nice conditions..hit the lumps off of OC...trolled umbrellas and stretches..only managed one short..Marked tons of bait but they werent hitting what we were offering...but a nice day to end the season....counting down the days till spring...

Do you think they'll still be around?
If the water temps stay around the same as now, or don't drop below 40, I think they will be around. After seeing that fish caught "in the backyard" after we trolled at the lumps, I just might keep my boat in and give it another shot near the bell after Christmas.
