Anyone fluke fish near Taylors Island, Maryland? Looking for some areas to fish this spring and summer - Is that area better or worse than other areas? Appreciate any help -

Moby,
That mid-bay area has a bunch going on. If your'e targeting only flounder, I'd pop back in the Honga R. just south of Taylors. Lots of deep channel edges near shallow flats, good bottom structure.
Place is thick with a variety of species. You might see specks and reds, croaker for sure, weakies, rock, and blues.
There's a free ramp in Hoopersville that will put you right in the middle of things.

Actually no one does fish the upper Chesapeake for fluke! Taylors is considered mid-bay, and is within the flukes range over here, but you'd do better to head south from Taylors for better fishing. (like Dixie said)
The Honga and even further south towards and including Tangier Sound seems to be the hotspot. Guys do real well out of Crisfield.

i echo what evryone else said... HOWEVER, if you are looking for flounder to keep, go elsewhere. last year the regs only allowed for one flounder per person.

Shoot Straight makes an excellent point!!!!
IMHO,I would suck it up and go another hour+ South on Rt 13 and fish the CBBT Area

Taylors island area produces many nice flounder. Look at your charts and fish the ledges for starters. Put some time in, there not hard to pattern.
