Received a call from a fishing buddy, who was at my favorite B&T shop. He said they just received the new Vision sand eels we were waiting for. Fishing buddies are the best! So I took a ride down to Pt. P. to see for myself, but my buddy Ron was not at work, must of been playing hooky!:naughty: I mean hes off on Mondays, give me a break.
So I found them anyway. :D They look great, much different from the Surf Eels Vision came out with last year. They are nice and thin. Looks like a winner to me, so I picked up a few packages. They come embedded with a 1/2oz weight, (5/8oz total weight) 3 to a pack, 6" long and have several colors with a paddle tail. The colors on them only differ a little, its just the top of the back and a slight tint in the plastic. Looks like something everyone will have in there surf bag. I almost put my vs back on the rod to give them a cast!
So its a thumbs up  for the Vision company. Now if we can get them to make the same plastic in solid black!
Took a couple of pic's. One along side the Vision Surf Eel for comparison

a guy at work gave me a vision surf eel in the fall, i lost it and never found anywhere that carries that line. very nice, but a little pricey from what he said.

The surf eel is different from the sand eel. The sand eel is more streamline then the surf eel. The surf eel is slightly longer also, pic#3.
The sand eel gets my vote  but only time will tell.

I'm sure there's a few B&T shops that carry them.

I didn't even think of that. That's a great idea.
They look like they would hold up fine, and that paddle tail!
