Im looking to set up a nice day of fishing for some family via charter boat. How is the Striper fishing around the Bay Bridge/ Kent Island area in the Spring? Im not asking for specifics "spots" of course, but in terms of getting onboard a charter trip, what would be the best spring month? And hows the action there? Any positive advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Trophy season in that area opens the third Saturday in April. This is strictly a trolling event on charterboats that time of year. Fishing is generally excellent for big fish into mid May. Come June some charters continue to troll while others will begin chumming, or a combination of both. Tons of reliable captains out of Kent Island, and Rock Hall.

I agree with Captstaab, Tilghmans Island is the place to be. Fish the narrow part of the bay( throphy alley ) between CR bouy and Cove Point , limited access makes for a lot less boat traffic. Best time opening day 4/18 and the next five weeks. Give Party Time a call He will put you on fish
