11 or 12" lami surf king is a good rod, they are around a 100bucks
a 4500 baitrunner with 50 braid, reel and braid around 150 i think
in the fall high/low with clam
in the spring fishfinder with a bunker head at night is the best
u mite want to put this tread in the surf form u will get more info
Surf fishing is the way to go:thumbsup:

Good friend of mine lives down that way..Although we do most of our fishing up north more together, hes always telling me about the good fishing around the fortesque area. Im guessing thats not to far from you. He told me the bassing off the beaches there using bloods and clams in late march and early april produces some nice fish. High low rig, clam on bottom and blood worm on top:thumbsup: Start fishing bunker end of april..beginning of may, like slamminsnizz said, at night will produce some nice fish in late spring. Good luck, let us know how you do. Welcome to the Barn:wave:

try under the maurice town bridge , with blood worm. Once the herring run use them alive if possible. Once the herring are up to the dam, try anywhere along the river from the dam to silverton yacht useing live herring.

There is a beach in luarel lake, i used to fish there, years ago. i am not sure if it is legal now, any way it is right across from the pig farm, There is also a dirt ramp next to the pig farm , I am not sure how to get to it though. I am from millville if you would like to catch A ride sometimes, Shoot me an email. Also down on rt 47 in port Elizabeth, just pass the truck center , that little creek has fish. very easy acess to it.
