Has anyone tried using the Gulp! bloodworms for spring bass? If so, how did you rig them?

Up here in my section of the De river they work well early in the spring like right now, within a 2 weeks of the fishing showing up
(which is now)they won't work for stripers but will still catch Perch and catties.

i've used them with decent success, either just hooking them the same as a live bloodworm, or when the perch are robbing your bait, putting them in netting or pantyhose as you would a live bloodworm or chicken liver. also if you are using live bloodworms, a small piece of gulp added to the end of the hook helps keep them on a lil better.

I bought some last year and tried them for perch and spot. The guy next to me had fishbites. He did much better. I switched to fishbites and my catch improved. Don't know if stripers are different.

Not quite sure, but, I think Fishbites makes a cold-water formula bait.
Otherwise,, the scent doesn't disperse until the water temps get up around 60 degrees or better.

Fish Bites does have a new fast action formula. it is priced the same as the regular, but there are fewer strips in the bag. They also have a new Bloodworm Spray and a Bloodworm Fish-EE- Sauce. I've got them all in stock.

If I was to use the GULP bloodworm I would definately use it like an artificial. Rig it Carolina Style and fish it SLOW dragging your weight in the bottom to kick up some mud clouds. You might even try a clicker sinker to attract fish to your bait.

I've never had any luck on them. I've used them on a high low rig with gulp on one and real blood worms on the other hook. My real worm would get stolen and they would leave the gulp untouched. I've read that lots of guys had good luck with them but from my experience with them they are crap. Also tried using gulp sand worms and no luck with them either.

I never had any luck with the gulp bloodworms. The fishbites works great for kingfish in the summer.
