Took a ride to Northeast, MD to have lunch with a friend at at Woody's. Met at Herb's tackle shop and took advantage of their spring sale also got a boat license for flats. Crab soup and lunch special crabcakes were worth the trip . Weather was great and there were boats, kayaks and people fishing from banks at park for white perch. Captain Mike was out and at the store earlier. Said that we'll be able to fish with herring this season because they didn't get the mandate passed. Water temps are coming up and it wouldn't be long before the striped ones show up. Was told that the Naughty Goose had been sold and was not open yet. Just glad to get out and worth the road trip.

I was down there at the state park last night, fishing,,, got a few smaller catfish and some nice white perch.
Keyman, the fish they were catching at the North East town park were Yellow Perch, not White.
The Yellow Perch fishing has been fantastic. Everyone has been catching fish. Thanks to the MD DNR and the Coastal Conservation Association for doing their job for the fishery.
It was very nice meeting you and look forward to seeing you during the Flats season. I did get a report that a guy caught 1 Striper on Saturday, on the flats, on bait. Either Bloodworms or frozen Herring.
