Would anyone put up video if BassBarn had the capability?

I am trying to get a feel, so maybe we can ask there programmer if this is foreseeable in the near future.

You can embed videos from sites like utube into HTML. Use the HTML wrapping around the embed URL.

Sure. Video are even better than pics. :thumbsup:

Gotta watch the space though. Thousands (even hundreds) of users uploading vids will use up A LOT of server space real quick.

Gotcha...I was hoping in the near future that the 'BassBarn IT team' would have an easy video uploading system in a Content Managed System(CMS) or something alike for the barners ease of use.

...More or less, something that would be easy for all.

I, basically would love to see barners different knots on video. - People have so many various/custom knots for rigging hooks/tying on poppers/rigging stretch 30s,50s,/live-lining/etc..it would be great to start a thread about 'Tying Knots' and so forth.

...let the summer begin

just open the forum up for html code in the posts that way we can easily put youtube videos up and such.

right now i guess the forum has a block on html code

I think the block keeps abuse down. Nothing worse than opening up a post and having a trillion popups or a virus that would download.

The barn gets slow enough with the guys in DD, imagine what it would look like with streaming video :)

However it looks like they could enable embedding video, which wouldn't take up any bandwith or space on BB. Not sure if it works on the current version of the software, but v4.0 has support.
