I used X raps and sebile stick shad suspending lures today on spruce run. got two nice pike and 7 2 pound crappies on these. all fish hit the lures while at rest for 8-10 seconds. pix and video at my catchthebite.com site

more vids and pix over the weekend of x rap fish

Cast , real several times quickly, let stand for a few seconds, jerk it and take up the slack. Actually many ways will work, you just have to try different things. Vary the speed of the retrieve, jerk and pause, rod tip height. There's just to many variables. Keep at it, it's a great lure.

the position of the rod tip is important, the lower the rod tip the deeper the x rap will swim, and higher tip shallower x rap, i like to start out after the cast crankin fast with rod tip at my knees and to the side of me, after a couple seconds either pausing or slowing the retrieve, then repeating, as you slow the retrieve move the rod tip up, and as you speed up the retrieve put it back down at your knees again. this is a great lure, i have caught many stripers on the x- rap shad rap in black/silver, olive/silver and purpledescent.

Congrats on getting them. To be honest I have NOT gotten any on my x raps yet but they look WAY TO GOOD not to produce. But I have not used it a ton yet. But I am sure this spring I will hook up.
