Hit the first drop about 7:15AM. After throwing clams and bloods for about 1/2 hour, Captain Tim, obviously not impressed with our results, proceeded to put on a first class Striper clinic limiting out in about 1/2 hour. I have no idea what it was that motivated him so, but it really got the rest of us aroused with hope and soon the boat was abuzz with hookups. A steady bite on the incoming tide was surpassed by an even better outgoing bite and I only saw one junkfish come out of the water. Our party of four ended up with four keepers (including Dad's pool fish) and seven shorts. Kenny was high hook in our party with his deadly (albeit unconventional) homemade Striper Slayer rig. The rest of the boat seemed to do as well or better. Had a blast with a first class Captain and crew. All the fresh bait and whatever tackle and support an angler could ask for as ususal. We'll be back!
Here's "King Kenny" and me with our first of the year.
