Had the same thing this weekend. Tons of fish around and eating but tough to hook into. There was larger bait around too so it was definetaly a head scratcher. You got some meat though, I am dying for striper cakes and the 27.99 inch fish are lovin me right now.

They are probably waiting for a few more degrees to eat breakfast. If we ever get some nice weather it's gonna blow wide open.

i think the moon brought in a few nicer fish to the area, at least the ones i saw breaking water looked a little better,,,,, the fish all seem to be feeding on shrimp, at least the ones i cleaned anyway,,, if only i had a few gallons of shrimp:)

nice fishing man!

i wish i had the same luck as you, that cold night killed the water temp where i was at, hopefully the sunny day will bring things up to par =)

Did you see anyone doing anything anchoring up w/ clams in OC channel?

I agree, once they start eating a few degrees isn't going to turn them off. The way they have been popping is screaming shrimp but there is bigger bait around at the same spots. Still a little lazy I guess.
Should be on fire within a week.
