AM trip:

We fished today with Dick Spotts, whos new white pants could be causing him bad luck this season:eek:, Dwight Soleta, Steve Kearney and son, and Tom Van Zant and group.

Skip searched where the fish have been, and everywhere else in the bay, and we did not get a bite, or fish. It seemed to be the same for most fishermen this morning??? Not sure why, or where the fish were, but they did not bite. We saw gannets, but nothing, and tried multiple spots, and nothing.

Thanks for trying hard everyone!

PM trip:

We headed out with Fred Bagley, Mike Tarvin, Jenny, and Luke, from Ohio, and Steve and Steve Brennan.

We tried a spot where we marked them earlier in the day, but only a skate and horseshoe crab. Then made a move, and found some bass, we had some great action, until a couple boats ran behind us, and turned the bite off, then move over, had one or two, and moved back and had some great action again. There were times with 2, 3, and 4 on at a time, but times with nothing, they seemed to come in pods.

We ended the day with over 25 bass, and 11 keepers to 34".

Fred!

Sorry to say that I was part of the first skunk voyage for the beautiful Stalker II. When I got up at 4:45, an hour late, and had to be at the Snug by 06:30 from Norristown, I should've known. Being the optimistic speed racer, I managed to get there only 10 minutes late, despite the accident on Rte. 47. Skip tried his darndest to no avail. The water was just a tad too cold from the previous two days and we just could not get even a tap. I knew I should've booked the afternoon trip instead, but was too anxious to get on that new sweet ride. The water warmed up and, just as I suspected, the afternoon trip made out well. And that's why they call it fishing...
