Trolling off Kent Island 4/30

Trolled a little to the north of Kent Island yesterday. Started slow, boated one fish at around 12-15lbs then nothing for an hour and a half. Then we found the bait and easily put our 6 man limit in the box in the next hour. The biggest fish of the day was 35lbs. We lost one that we think was even bigger. We were trolling umbrellas and tandems and had action on both. Will post pics when I get them later.

I have been out twice in the last week and both days were completely different. Chartruce has been better than white, and tandems better than umbrellas. But one day the deep rods went off more than the boards, the other the deep rods did not get touched. One day we found them in 40-50 ft. Yesterday we picked a couple at that depth but most were between 25-30ft. I am planning on going out tomorrow morning, so I will let you know how I do.

good luck man, were planning to head out on an afternoon to dark trip hopefully let some traffic die down and try our luck.. and then turn around and try sunday morning too. we were out last weekend and had a couple off the boards. let me know how you make out..

Where are you heading out of. I'm hoping this forecast of possible rain will keep the boat traffic down tomorrow.

Multiple tournaments this weekend. Traffic will be nuts below the bridge.

Sorry I didnt see your post until I got home. The bite stunk for us today. We got one real early in the morning and that was it for the whole day.

No problem, sorry about your luck were out right now and marking bait like crazy without a bite yet but we've only been at it an hour or so.. Flat calm and not many boats

Left the dock at 1:00 p.m. for a little shakedown. Picked up a nice fat keeper around 2:30. Kept trolling until 6:30 with only one more short to show. Flat calm and no rain.
Filets piled high with crab meat in the oven now.
