Fished the FCA Manhattan Cup out of Chelsea Pier on Friday. After finding bait and our crew, we headed out to the Raritan and searched the bay ending up at Romer where we found the man in the stiped suit. Putting the guys on a few fish in the 30-34" range on both clams and live bunker. A good time was had by all and for a great cause on a nice sunny day.
SAturday proved to be a struggle from the start. Having to find bait in the pea soup fog was not fun. As we checked out with the tournament comittee we could barely see them 75' away on the dock. Having navigated our way through the fleet we proceeded to troll for miles finding a 21.5 lb bass and dropping a much larger one later on. With the fog lifting and the wind kicking up we decided to head in and try some spots closer to home. With no luck live lining we put the one fish on the scale. All in all it was a great weekeind but hard finding that one large fish.
