I hear that people are catching stripers by trolling bunker spoons, but is anyone having any luck chunking bunker off IBSP? Will be running out there through BI this weekend.

Wouldnt hurt to give it a shot. If you mark bait balls on your fishfinder try some snag and drop...

Don't chunk them use the whole thing. Swimming. There is a large body of fish right now from about Long Branch down to IBSP and they are on the bunker schools. Snag and drop is the best way right now. Don't forget a couple of large jigs and jig any spot that is holding fish. We got about 18 fish from 30 to 40lbs on jigs Friday. In the northern part of that region.

What kind of jigs were you using?

Large krocodiles like 7ozs. They do not make them anymore and I treasure the last two I have. But any large profile jig worked. 6 and 8 ozs hammered diamond jigs work when there is bunker around but the krocs are the best.
