Took my 17 year old nephew out late yesterday. He boated this nice 35 pounder on a big white bunker spoon (in snotty conditions). Also, went out again early this am, but the water temperature dropped and the fish got lock jaw.

Fish was caught off of island beach state park beach.

This fish was caught in about 40 feet of water. We were marking huge schools of bunker.

Sucha strange spring w/ these bass...I was trolling (I think!) same area on that day...may have passed you guys. I trolled all the way from those huge schools of bait that were markin low about 1-1.5 miles outside the inlet, all the way out to 60ft north of the CG station....not a hit! Did you hear the guys on 68 around 2-3 pm that were nailin one after the other..."claim" they had 3-4 fish over 30lb in about 2 hrs!! Said they were 55-60 off the bathing beach...never sure "exactly where" bathing beach starts....but I thought I was in their area and may have passed them, but also no hits....go figure!

I believe that they are Graves spoons.

The bathing beach is the Seaside public beach. It is close to 8 miles north of the inlet. I picked a 23 pounder in about 55 feet of water yesterday am, after rolling two nicer fish.

I went back up there again early today and not a touch.

Peb3, are you referring to the beach just north of the sewer pipes and the top of the mast or the bathing beach on IBSP with the pavilion's. I always thought the bathing beach was the latter, not the Beach up by the seaside pier...clear this up for me..thanks

I agree this is where I refer to as the bathing beech.

Is 60 feet of water inside of 3 miles up that way down here we would have to go out 5 miles to find that depth.

There is ALOT of deep water off IBSP well within the 3 mile mark. peb I saw you yesterday when you pull up your spoons and headed for the barn. Nice report we only had 1 fish a 30 lbs. I think I'm going to try tomorrow.
