Pop Pop and I launched the boat from Ocean county in hopes to find one or two of them giant bass we keep reading reports about :) We were on the water around 4:30pmish. We were doing the afternoon/night shift.

Conditions couldn't be better (with the exception of the water temp). We had plenty of cloud cover, light winds, 66 degree water and acres of bunker. The one thing missing was the bass :(

When we first arrived on the scene, we found small bluefish harassing the pods. We put a lot of miles on the boat, checking pod, after pod, after pod, north & south of the inlet :( Not one bass to be found...not for us at least.

We did get a report from Tommy Guns and Keith (Hipkvw) who were fishing near by. The early shift paid off for them with one 35# bass. I believe their fish came in the afternoon? I'll let them tell their story ;)

Hey Ron,
If you decide to come up to our neck of the woods again feel free to give me a call. Don’t know where in Ocean County you were, but we had them last night. I would have gladly burned my spot for you. :D:D
Thanks for note on this quarter’s statement, you’re a class act!

Don't mention it Ken! I appreciate you tuning others onto the BARN!

Yeh, we moved up a county last night. Indepth got my arse out there for an afternoon trip (thanx Craig  We caught 4 bass (to 32lbs) within...I'd say...a half hour. One bass came on a Fixter pencil. The other three were on bait (two 30's, 31, and a 32). After searching around a bit, we were chased off the water by the storm that ripped through last night
