Don, what are complaining about? They are honoring you with their presence and you should not expect them to go by your schedule just because you own the boat.
Some people are pretty rude. Does this mean my fishing report is going to be late?

Hey don.
i have been there and done that, so I know how you feel.
If I am bass fishing or fluking, I do not wait. i just go.
Unfortunalety if I am going offshore, i have to wait, and then i am not a happy camper.
i have to get out of bed on time, so should they.
I am going tomorrow (Sunday).
Good luck today.
Mike.

No I'm getting ready to head out the door in the next 15 minutes. I'm going to take my time and see if a late afternoon bite comes around. There should be less people out too.

See thats the difference between fisherman and people who just fish... as a fisherman I can barley get to sleep before a trip let alone not wake up in time. Hope you scored today Don. I was out yesterday no Striper, managed 1 keeper fluke and 6 throwbacks and 20 or so short seebass.
Basspro I am right down the road from you, if you ever want to get out let me know.

Talk about an A**hole. I see the guy who fishies with me every weekend and is a need a call last week and a strait no show this week and he won't even say he sorry for a no show. Then goes and tells another guy we fish with that I dogged him because I wasn't home when he showed and waited for 2 hours for me to come out of the house.
I waited an hour then went back to bed and was home till 12:45 the next day. He never showed, never knocked on the door or even came into the yard because both my dogs would have gone crazy if someone was in the yard, that's why I have them. Oh well he's off the boat, two trips in a row he caused a problem..
Anyone want to fish with me. It usally cost $ 40 to $50 for a 10 hour striper trip or $60 plus we split bait on a "offshore" trip. Less with the more guy's on board up to four. Hit me up dwcmac@msn.com if you are looking for a ride.
Beachpounder I'll be hitting you up real soon.

I'll start giving you guy's that are intrested a call next week, with the holiday this weekend I may just do a fireworks cruise and start shark fishing next week.
I'm not looking to "make" any money just want to ease the expence and meet some new friends.

No excuse for a no show, cross him off the list and dont look back. Some people have no clue how much added aggravation boat owners go through. All he had to do was show up , and that was too much trouble. Clueless!

To all, for what it is worth, I have striper fished with Don.
I hope to do so again.
He is first class, and takes this stuff seriously, as it should be. His boat ain't bad either.
As others here have said, it is not worth the aggravation of waiting for people.
I had a boat since 1990 and used to invite alot of different people.
I would get my hungover ass out of bed, (especially in the 90's!!!!) and be there, getting things ready. Most people would show up a half hour late, some would not show up at all. I have learned my lesson. I now have only a few people I invite and a few are barners.
Fish with Don, you will not be dissapointed.
Mike.

Went through this MANY times over the years.
Suggestion: Next time "Mr Late" or any other people you invite show up late with no excuse, simply say "I forgot something be right back". Go to the closest restaurant order a nice big breakfast a cup of coffee. Sit back and relax for the same amount of time that they made you wait.
Next time they go with you I bet they will be on time.
If they question were the F*** were you simply say I thought you were in no big hurry.
Worked for me on several occasions.

Some people are more dedicated then others. Those who don't have their priorities organized.....sleep in, chicken out to to marginal forecasts, have 'family' issues, etc.
BTW I consider WTF to mean...Where the Fish?!!:D

The first time I met Don was the first time I fished with him. We had a great day out on the water and we caught our limits of big fish. The only thing about him was, he can't throw a cast net to save his life!:D
A good guy and nice boat, thanks again!

You dont have a "crew"... if you did, you would be paying him or them
you have a CLIENT...someone paying you...
Get better clients...

I think I look for those marginal forcast days.
It's coming to my attention that the person in question may have serious drinking problem creeping up on him.:( We have to see were this leads. Hate to see it happen. Hopefully it works out and we can get back to business.
