Had a Make Up trip on Saturday morning, Pulled out of the slip at 5:30am right into the line of boats waiting to check out for Mako Mania, what a cluster. I ran a little south but didn’t see anything in terms of bait or water so I made a big “U” Turn and headed north. After a quick ride we found a thick school of bait and filled the well. Made a few drifts along the way but ended up setting up on the rocks where we had a few runoffs but I think they were mostly Blue Fish, which was confirmed when a couple of the baits came back cut in half. We eventually came to harsh reality that it just wasn’t going to happen and deployed plan “B” which was to try for some Fluke and Seabass.
We ended the day with nice mixed bag of Fluke, Seabass and even a few ling thrown in for good measures.
