Left the dock with three kids from 6-10 years old ,2 of the kids had never caught a striper before. Four hours later they had boated 35-45 bass wilth 9.....yes 9!!!!! keepers to 20 lbs!!!! I wish i was smart enough to post the pics. This was a trip of a lifetime for all of the kids and even more so for the fathers , but for the CLEAN SWEEP this is just another day. This trip is the ""NUTS"" for family or friendly fun.. Off of this boat in the last year i have caught a 165# bluefin, 9.85#flounder, 8.1#seabass,and a 38# golden tile...... All great feats but it doesn't compare to the fun we had with the kids today. !!THANK YOU TIMMY!! KIds will never forget this day....EVER!!!!

You did more than just catch fish with some young gentlemen - You must be a proud Dad...you just may have welcomed future BassBarners and lifelong fishing partners ;)

I remember catching a nice 30 pounder when I was 8 or 9 years old in the Delaware River close to Trenton with my pops and some buddies. It was the best thing to ever happen to me (I meant my fishing career...LOL). Even though this happend almost 20 years ago, ever since then, I have always been an avid fisherman, and enjoy catchin' striper no matter the size.

The next fish that bested that was a 90 pound BlueFin Tuna in my teens, but I still remember the 'Delaware River striper story' more than anything else because the camaraderie I got after catching a Striped Bass was nothing less than amazing. When I was young, there was nothing better than landing a Striper because my family, friends, and the people around me let me know they ARE 'the most sought out fish' in jersey waters.

Congrats, and thanks for sharing a great story

...these type of stories are what makes us all apart of a fishing family - like the one we have here on BassBarn

cheers,
SM:cool:

I did one of these trips about two weeks ago. It was awesome. Congrats to you and your kids. I know the smiles Timmy must have produced.

I saw the boat on Tuedsay also. I was drifting in the general area and picked up some shorts (stripers). The fact they picked up keeper is great.
