I got to fish with a few guys so i'll tell of 2 catches.
I went with Partnership and caught my first Drum and it was on the Jersey side. Maybe twenty pounds...just a baby. Thanbks Tommy!
I went out with Capt.Block flounder fishing. We caught +some flounder and a lot of schoolie stripers on lures in between the flounder bite. Saw a school of rays cruising and a sea turtle. Great day on the water. Thanks Steve.

Bass'n in June, heaviest ever for me 44 or so lbs, but she still didn't cross the 50 mark :(

Hip,
I thought the Delaware Bay was a boring place. :D Did you see the bald eagles coming out of the creek or did you forget to mention that? Every year we see the big sea turtles. It is kind of neat to see them pop their big head out of the water and blow air out their nose. I have been very lucky not to hook into one lately.
I had a good year striper fishing like many other fishermen in the bay. I was a little disappointed I did not get one in the high 40 inch range, although I had several in the 40 inch range. It was a pleasure to have several people on my boat catch their first striper this year. I had a good year flounder fishing with the biggest fluke going 26.5" and many in the 20" inch range.
May you all be blessed with bigger fish next year. Peace to all of you and may you all have a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year of fishing. Below are a few pictures I posted.

27 Stripers inside of about 3 hours. Had my Cuz Tommy (Partnership) Joe (Rodfather) and I believe Capt Block as witness's. It was pure pandamodium Just my dad and myself onboard and he was making me do the grunt of the work. At times I was setting hooks, putting it in the rocket launcher, then another, then another and my dad sat back and watched. I was tired when I got home. But I wouldn't trade that trip for anything in the world. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

On a striper trip in November I was fishing in my normal/fav spot near the Maul with my friend Tom who had been skunked with me on the two prior trips earlier in the season. We had quite a wait until the tide turned around but when it did all Hell broke loose. We only boated the one striper. 34 incher...about 17-18 lbs early in the blitz and after that the blues moved in. We boated a couple and decided to use larger baits thinking they might have a better chance of getting through the blues to the bottom where the Stripers were...seemed like a good plan. To make a long story short...we ended up using 1/2 a bunker (not small ones either) per bait and the only thing that happened was we caught more....and bigger blue fish. We boated 10, and I bet we lost at least another 10 at the boat during the 3+ hour blitz. All were well over 10 lbs. Not the target species, but DAMN...it was some fun fishing...first time I have seen a blitz of blues that size in the bay.
Below is a picture of Tom and our catch that day.

On father's day we were having a slow day and we decided to try Reef #4 on our way back to Bowers Beach. The current was ripping and I couldn't anchor on the reef. I decided to just drift around it. About 5 minutes before we called it a day, I hooked a 32" weakfish and my dad netted it. We wasted a lot of time driving around looking for a place to get it weighed for a citation (tough on a Sunday night). Gave up on that idea. We don't need a citation to remember the father's day trout.

I would have to say (although it was a totally a**kicking fall) November when we laid into so many big hogs. I picked up my first 50/50 and released her. Got my friend on his biggest striper 45" and took a nice 42" home for supper. I know we all like to catch but the fishing was so intense that day that fish started getting hooked deep. So we agreed to pull anchor and head for home rather than harm anymore breeders. The feeling of good sportsmanship as we came up on Longreach felt better than any catch I could have had. (well other than the 50/50 :D )
'Stalker how could you have that many bluefish and your boats soooo clean? :D

The bay was good to us this year too
The fluke fishing was pretty good in the bay this year. Nonetheless, we still did most of our Fluke fishing out in the Ocean.
This pic is from one of those day's it was simply too nasty to make the run south so we fished the humps and ledges of the shipping channel in the bay betweeen 14 and 16 buoy for this catch.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid73/pbf560e790066936749273a36eedde303/fb6c5139.jpg
What made this day special was the $$ we spent on trolling valves for the Dauntless paid off. There was a strong Southerly wind against the outgoing tide for most the day, but we were able to troll up most of these fish, while most the other boats sat in one spot all day due to the stalemate wind and tide conditions.
Here's some pics from bass chunking in the bay this fall. We made 6 trips, had 2 double digit trips on big fish, 2 3 fish days, 1 2 fish day and one skunk. We chunked for the most part but did troll shad rigs on the last trip and picked up our only 2 slot fish of the year.
Me w/ a nice bass i decided to kill.

You should have seen it before we rinsed up prior to pulling anchor...looked like we slaughtered a hog in it. I LOVED it!!!

Keith,
Had many good days in the Bay this year, even when they were bad because I was out having fun with friends and family. Fished this year with Rodfather, Bawugna, Fishinphanatic, Capt. Block, Lunchman, Grimreaper, ShoreHooks, Rageboat on my boat.
Fished near CaptG., Joe M., ReelMasterBaiter & many other guys on several ocassions.
Had several good days on the Bay, in particular, on a beautiful Saturday in August, had double limits of fluke with CaptBlock and in early November had the biggest sriper come aboard my boat weighing in at 43# & 49", plus a 30# & 25#.
Also, I was up next to Rodfather when he nailed his 52"er this year & next to Rageboat when his son nailed his 1st. So I'd say it was a good year on the muddy pond. ;)

Tom,
The day I fished with you I learned a few things. Even though we took a beating and I was soaking wet we still had a good day with lots of blues and fluke. I never thought that day was going to be fishable. I was surprised using 14 oz. of weight I still could feel flounder on the other end of the line. I am not sure how fast we were drifting but it was like trolling for flounder. Goes to show you sometimes with tough conditions you still can catch fish. I still owe you a trip in the upper bay.

Finally got my x-neighbor Mike AKA/BassBarron out today for some rod bending fun. We used to fish together frequently but personal obligations have had him tied up lately. We headed out to the 20' around 7:30 with hopes that the approaching front would turn it on. We setup on the West edge and got the chunk going. For the remainder of the incomming...nada. At slack I positioned us a little more West and after the turn all hell broke loose. Keep in mind it's just Mike and myself with four rods out. Flurries of Stripers and Blues kept us real busy. At one point we both were hooked up and took turns with the camera while each fighting our own fish and laughing our arses off the whole time.
As my guest, I photoed Mike First:

FishnFever,
Thanks. I hope the kid makes out alright. My father has him almost ever weekend.
My dad took him out tonight and he got to witness the death of a deer with a muzzleloader. The kid is ready to hunt, but I am not sure I want him near a gun.
I pray that I have one more chance to take my Grandfather fishing. I would really like to get him on a Drumfish this year in the spring.
