Went out early today to get a spot at the power plant and it paid off in Permit-7, Pompano-1 and 2 Bluefish from New Jersey. Ha. Only fished from 6.30 am till 11;30 am as the bite quit. Lost at least as many as these fish hit hard and fight hard. Biggest was only 4 pounds but felt like a 20 pound Striper.Weather was perfect, 71 degrees at noon, wind calm and sunny skies.
Been playing a lot of golf lately as my game is improving. Bought a new set of clubs and seem to work for me.
Going to Silver Springs Friday with the Mrs., and ride the glass bottom boat. Hope all is well up there as it seems your weather is on the chilly side.

Betcha it was the outflow side! Were you at Anclote? Do you eat those permit? I heard they taste great. I would'nt know though, those Islamorada guides release em quick! LOL How's the wind been down there at the power plant this winter? Wind is ok there, if it's windy you can use your new sticks at the golf course. LOL I just got my new Ping G2 irons too. Good luck down there. :D

10-4 John on the northside. I have done very well in that area over the years. I love when the blues and big jacks are in there when you tie up to the barrels. Last winter when I was down you graciously invited me to hook up with you but I got tied up fishing in Islamorada and only got to visit my family in Bayonet Point for a couple of days. Thank you again. My cousin took me to that beautiful beach/sandbar on the north side of Anclote Key and we hammered some nice big trout on whitebait where the dropoff started. We also jigged up a bunch and popping corked up some more on the flats in front of the "Stack" and right off Howard Park. I love it there man.Unfortunately a big ole cold front came in and shut down the fishing and I had to skidaddle back up here for work. I won't be getting down this winter so slam 'em for me you lucky devil. Stay warm! :D ;)
