Jumping the Gun?

Or just wishfull thinking! :rolleyes: well today I charged the battery and ran the Yamaha on the 19" CC, I never winterized the small boat hopeing to do some winter clamming and perch fishing!

Capt.Earl the fellow that I sometimes work with on the Serenity, Bunker Boat keeps telling me of the beauitfull Feburary days on the bay! And the teaser spring like weather. smile.gif

So Im ready now if it happens and the artic weather gives us a break,Ill be on the water up Fortescue creek hopeing for some slabs and when March gets here ill be ready for Mr Striper. :D

In the mean time with the current heat wave we are haveing,maybe the dredge will find it's way to the fort and give us some water to navigate thru. :rolleyes:

Hey,Blufinn,
You must have ESPN or something. I did the same thing today, as I never winterize our boat either, just in case of a fishing emergency.
Put a water pump rebuild kit in her, fired it up, turned on the GPS, put the sonar in simulation, cranked up the weather on the VHF, and stood at the helm like I'm dodging crab pots around 12 bouy. I can't wait, the winter has been too long already.

It will be nice to be able to roll out of bed and on to the boat this summer! I used the trailer boat quite a lot this past year out of the Fort ,The Parker was in Port Norris South and as much as I like the Maurice river i hated the drive.
