I fished the beach about 6 hrs this week without a bite, The Revrend fished 3 days and gave up and is fishing the AC area.

The dredge is supposed to arrive and start on march 1 I hope they have there act together because the state will shut them down on april 1 when the horseshoe crabs arrive with the sand pipers. I didn't notice any bait in the tidal creeks?

The winter was hard on a lot of pileing's and AA marina pier took a beating as well as Dave Strang's dock.

The AA Marina is up for sale as well as Tom's trailer across the street He is selling out everything boat rental tractors and all equipment It's listed by TR reality.

With the nice weather the island came to life and there were a lot of rubber necks driveing the bulkhead rd this week buy no other fisherman, just a few Snow goose hunters banging away in the meadow.

The bay water is very cold 36 deg I had to take a little swim when my puppy decided to try and swim to Dover! I think im looseing it going in to the water up to my waist down by the south end bridge and hollering for him to come back! He is 9 mos old Chessy GUNNER III and it was dead low tide hes was at least 200 yds out and started swimming north up the bay i called and called and after about 20 min i could not take it any more I came ashore and made it to my truck and could not feel my legs,I drove along the bulkhead all the way to the new section when he turned in and came ashore shakeing and looking confused! I got him in the truck and went to the house and jumped into a tub of warm water to get the circulation back in by legs and feet.

Gunner was fine and I don't think he realized the danger he was in,He is my fifth Chessy and the hardest headed one We have ever had!

As for the Polar bear club people When the water is that cold you dont get cold ,Just Numb! I often wandered what they got out of jumping into the surf in Feburary? As for me swimming in the bay in feburary If it ever happens again it will not be a voluntary thing on my part,I just got my voice back today!

With 44 yrs of duck hunting I have been wet many times, but never for 20 min without proper clothing. Linda is looking for a good Nut doctor for me and a Obediance trainer for Gunner. :D

Hey Mike, AA Tom can't sell the floating dock marina? He doesn't own it! He only leases it from the Capt's Association. All he can sell is the house and a small narrow strip of land! And he Knows this fact! And no, he can't land lock that part of the Marina!

I HOPE THEY GET THE ENTRANCE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE PRICE OF FUEL ALONG THE RIVER IS GOING TO ROCKET. THE ONLY CONSOLATION FOR LOWER PRICES WILL BE THE FORT.

Stan the sale sign clearly indicates that the sale of the marina requires a state lease approval,If in the area ck out the Thompson reality sign at the exit gate on state st!

I wish him the best,if he no longer has interest in running the facility it might be better in ones hands that will. smile.gif
