:D Do any of you guys drag jigs on the bottom when targeting largemouth bass? Do you use a trailer? Do you consistently catch quality fish this way? Reason for asking is I only use the pitching technique when using jigs. But I want to expand my use of the jig in search of quality fish. Thanks for any input!!

I do when I fish from the shore in the ponds etc. I use a trailer too. Basically I just cast it to the area that looks best, usually decently long casts. Then I bounce it along the bottom the whole way in, it has produced some pretty quality fish over the past year for me, works well when the bass arent by the banks and pitching isnt an option.

I use them like a crankbait all the time. any jig designed for grass will work on soft bottoms. football jigs are real nice also.

Football jigs are deffenitly the way to go if you are going to drag them. I have caught some nice bass this time of year that way.

I agree there, if I want a basic straight retrieve I use a swim jig but if Im bouncing and dragging it, Football jigs are definately the way to go there, keeps the bait in the strikezone well while bouncing it.
