50lb leader, 9/0 or 10/0 gami's. you dont need floro, mono works just fine in the bay

50lb triple fish (mono) 18"-24" leader with Gami 9/0 or 10/0 hooks. I also fish my rods locked up in a holder.

40lb braid, 40 or 50 lb leader (whichever is closer when I'm tying) and a 10/0 Gami Octopus.

If using spot the same setup but I use a 7/0 Gami instead.

Reels locked.

Mike, do you run your boat all the way down to the Del. Bay from Avalon Manor?

No last year I trailered to the DB and SIC for the fall. That was a PIA so I will leave it at the Manor until I have to take it home. (Dec) We will bum a few rides with guys this year in the DB and the rips also...lol!

I still have a few vacation days left and may need a fishing partner. I'll get back to you when I have those days off.

what are the pro's and cons on leader length. i was taught 24" to 30" at 50#,
and have not caught a lot of stripers either
every day is a learning experience,

I change with the speed of the current or sometimes to change things up. If it's completely flat, I like a longer leader.
