Without spot burning, if you were going to try and beat the weather tomorrow and left Manasquan Inlet to do a little jigging would you go north or south to look for bait/action?

good luck with that one. I love to go south. i stop at the towers, then the thunderbird, then seaside. just look for the birds when you break the inlet. I couldn't get away from the bluefish yesterday until i was 2 miles north of BI. that's the luck dome days

I'll be heading out of Squan around 7:30, I was planing on turning left and going up towards AP, hopefully I won't need to go that far. I go that way so I can have a plan b if the stripers don't cooperate I can do a little togging. Please give me a shout if you're doing anything on the right side, I'll be on 65; boat name Eagle, just say how far down you are and if I'm into them I'll let you know how far up I am(from the inlet).

Tom i would head straight out to the mile bouy 60 ft. or so,look around for the fish on the bottom,then south toward mantoloking in the same depth.we did well trolling bunker spoons a few days ago.tried jigging them but kept getting bluefish.theres tons of bait out there now and the fish are spread out nice.good luck to ya please post report

Same thought every time i leave the inlet. Have been working south the last 2 weeks with pretty good scores but no banner days. There are ton of blues that way. Trying to make up my mind for Sat. Got some people comming in from Philly area. Would like to put them on some big fish. Try and make them feel a little better about being slapped around by the YANKS:D. Will be out Sat + Sun on 65 + 68, Sea Hawk
