I apologize for the last minute announcement, but I was just informed myself about the event scheduled for this weekend. There is a Striper Tournament this Friday and Saturday 11/6 & 11/7 beginning at noon 11/6 and the weigh in will be @4PM 11/7 at Smuggler's Cove in Stone Harbor. The tournament proceeds will go to the Support for Scott fund for local fishing fanatic Scott Bevan who was recently diagnosed with Melanoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The rules will allow anyone to enter for $50.00 and fish from the surf or by boat from Hereford's inlet to 80th St. (All of Stone Harbor). This is basically a fun tournament with all intentions of financially assisting Scott with an after party at Otton Construction across from Smuggler's Cove. However, there will be a calcutta for those interested at the sign in which will be at Smuggler's Cove also. For more info you can call Scott's sister Marnie (609-231-1016 or Rick (Striper13) (609-707-6344).

To the top........
Fellas and ladies, If there was ever a time when you could do a little to help a lot, for someone who, if the shoe was on the other foot, would be one of the first to help out ..... this is it. It's short notice but this was just put together. If your in town over the weekend and can't fish the tournament, anyone is welcome to stop in at the shop across the street from Smugglers Cove on Saturday afternoon for the post tourney gathering.I If you could please help there is a 20.00 donation for those not fishing to help Scotty with his medical bills, which is what this plea for help is all about.
If Ron or one of the mods could please make this a sticky for a day or two in all of the forums it would sure help out a lot..... Thanks

The shop is cleaned out and preped for a party. good luck to those fishing and thank you to all who would stop by. The weather is supposed to be beautiful and I'm sure there will be plenty of "good" chow and spirits. Good times...Good people... and a good cause.....Enjoy the day!
Once again you don't have to participate in the tournament to attend the gathering. We're asking for a 20.00 dollar donation for the grub and cheer for those not fishing. If your in town please stop by and help out our bro Scotty.
Thanks again.......

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped out. John (Chumstain), the pork was awesome and a hit last night. We had a very successful tournament with the winning striper coming in at 36" 15 minutes prior to the end of the tournament. Thanks again Barners who helped out and Ron for putting this on the top of the board.
