I am going fishing for drum on June 5 to slaughter beach. It is two days after the full moon, does that really effect the drum fishing?
I can not go Memorial Day weekend and the next weekend is the SJ Sark tourn. Any feedback would be helpful

I think that's a little bit late in the run. Last year at that time they had spread around the bay. We caught on the NJ side.

IMHO, early May would would be a better time to get them schooled up off Slaughter.

Of course, this depends on many things, but traditionaly, when the Dogwoods are bloomin, the Drumfish are Boomin

Thanks for your info so you don't think the moon is a big part of the run. DO you think I should go earlier in may? I

When the gnats are biting best so too are the drum fish! Nothing like the smell of fresh stinky clam!
