Got a real late start but found beautiful conditions off SoMoCo today. Very slight onshore breeze and 59.6F water. Bottom covered with bait readings from Spring Lake to short of the wheel. No surface action but plenty of blues trolling and jigging. Lost a $30 Reel Seat jig to a bluefish so we are going to wait awhile before getting out the good jigs. Radio chatter was a few stripers here and there.
Once the bluefish get out of here we should have 3 weeks to a month of good striper fishing. z
