I was wondering when everyone gets situated with their slips, De-Winterizing and the boats are all tuned up, are we going to have another Barner Day On The Del. Bay? for Stripers or better yet the Weakfish gathering we had 2 seasons ago , the honor system , all entry $$ splits between the reef fund and striper tracking ) $20per boat max 4 anglers per boat or $30 for those who have boats that can fish 6 passengers proceeds go to the reef fund ...and the tracking fund just something to get the guys out and have some fun this year.. for $5per person you can have fun, meet new people and help a good cause at the same time ... just an Idea I know how Ron and the Mods want to keep it non competitive in which this will be , NO WINNERS & NO LOSERS Just fun... what do you think?

sounds good Jim, I hope we can get a good showing of barners on the bay ...

Just keep in mind this is not a competition , there is NO 1st,2nd or 3rd place , all money collected will be split 50/50 between the reef fund and the striper tracking , just looking for a fun day on the bay thats all... if we can get enough people we will set up dates , and have a list going on for who is going to participate, initially I was thinking of May 21st, or 22nd (Sat,or Sun) that way stripers will still be around along with Flounder , blues and what ever else swims , like I said its for fun and helping a great cause..

I'm sure some one knows a spot, then again for those who trailer its gonna be even tougher for parking...

what marina is everyone coming from??
that way possibly we can meet? some where along the way .

I only fish for Blood Money!Seriously,I do not like fishing any tournement where there are cash prizes. People act like traders on the floor of the Chicago Commidity Exchange whipping themselves up just to win some bucks.I always view fishing as a sport to relax and unwind. Your idea to donate the entry fees is great and you can count the crew of the Shinyo in.Please lets not have a Bimini Start. Every year when I see all the boats sitting at 13 or 12 Bouy waiting for the start,I always hold my breath waiting to see if there is going to be a collision.I am especially amused when I go by the boats and some of the crew are dresssed up in costumes with boat logos and patches from various fishing equipment manufactures all over their jackets, shirts and hats. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Shinyo this usually starts with meetin up at a designated set of coordinates out on the bay. It's the honor system, since heck, no one's taking home any money anyway. First one I think we met a the punk grounds.

Not sure what Andy's got in mind but sounds like boats coming from all directions so meeting up somewhere is probably a good idea smile.gif

I think I'm outta town but the tickets aren't here yet so maybe I'll be here. The only constant in my life is change so who knows:)

what I had in mind was who ever is intersested send me an E-mail. your E-Mail should specify the boat or team name & who is on board , and where you are Launching or docked at .. I know its gonna be impossible for us to all to meet the morning of our proposed outing how about this, we hold a captain/ crew meeting on the 15th ( SAT the week before we depart ) so that way we can get the $$ together and meet new faces from all sides of the Bay, and discuss the plans, I need a half way point to meet between Phila And Cape May ,that is comfortable for everyone , so that way its an even travel for most of us ... anybody with Ideas?? let me know or post them .. thanks , I would like to get at least 15 boats @ 4 per boat that would be $300 to split .. $150 each way, the more boats the better .. If anybody has any problems with the proposed dates let me know ..

*** IF you are planning to attend this day on the bay please E-mail me the boat name & Crew by May 11th... So I can make a list of the people who are involved .. and remember this, Radio contact is not going to be 100% from the lower bay to the upper bay we will need everyones participation to keep everyone updated on what is being caught ... I wanna try and do everything as fair as I can... I don't want some bozo saying I got a 10# weakie at so and so spot when I or someone else may be 1/4 mi off from that spot and there are no boats in the are in the area.... there is no need for that, we have a good group here on the barn and I hope we can share this on the water... this is for fun ... NOT COMPETITION
