Phew- it was good to be a live today.
We only had a short window to fish- as I had a breakfast to work and then had to be back in time for a dinner banquet.
Took my cousin Mike(TRMB), my daughter Julie, and myself and bolted to CM. Had fresh chowders and fresh herring.
Ran to the shoe and ended the day 4 for 4 with fish up to 32 inches. They bit both baits with the clam winning out. Marked pretty good.
Water was ok and got muddier as the tide dropped. Seas were great. Water started at 47 and ended up above 49 degrees.
Should be a great weekend.
Met Krayfish in the tackle shop and talked with Get it wet and Richie(women fear him) Luv2fish.
Made it back in time to deal with....ahh never mind. Catch em up this weekend.
Hey- who let the Stalker up the bay????

Great to feel a fish on the end of the line again.
Forgot to mention- 2 were semi-screamers, and two were very light bites.
Paul- see you out there on Monday.
Ken- don't be sorry you missed me- just keep the bait fresh and get yourself out there every chance you get.
Skip- Don't blame you in the least. It is what it it.

Tommy, it was good to see you again. I got my batteries charged, new registration stickers on the boat, the trim tabs cleaned and primed and made arrangements for the motor and electronics to be put back. I will be going down on Monday to clean and wax the boat and hope to put her in the water on Friday. I will bring my portable VHF and will monitor Ch.78. That is until lunch.....Gene

Way to go Tom, nothing like a little success with the family on board. Glad to see you had some herring.

Tom- Way to go!! The fish are there and waiting. It's funny how the bite changes from day to day going from strong run offs to the tugging. Gotta be prepared for these early season fish. Nice report and glad you got into them. Hope to see you on the water.
