CLAYMONT, Del. — Seven fishermen, including five from Delaware County, have been cited for violations of boating safety and fishing license requirements during a fishing tournament Saturday on the Delaware River near the Pennsylvania line.
Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents cited Christopher Murphy, 49, of Ridley Park, who was charged with one count of insufficient personal floatation devices on his vessel.
Joseph A. Pavone, 52, of Haverford, was charged with one count of unregistered operation of a vessel. Christopher Unruh, 19, of Collingdale, Albert J. Pavone, 26, of Haverford, Marc S. Ruebeck, 35, of New Castle, Del., Joseph A. Pavone Jr., 24, of Haverford, and Cody W. Kaufman, 20, of Willow Grove, were arrested and each charge with one count of unlicensed fishing. All seven men were fined and released.
