We used to use Berkley Sensithin because of it's thin diameter and non-backlashing properties, but now it has been discontinued or replaced by Sensation. If the new Sensation is the replacement, you can't get it in bulk spools. Anyone have a really good casting mono that they are useing for leadchucking with round reels that they would recommend trying? I will used PP or Fireline on spinners, and don't care for it on the round reels.

Sufix it is supposed to be the best out there. I remember reading a post on a different site by Distance casting and surf fishing great Niel Mackellow about the line. I figured since he was the one that worked with Penn to develop the 525mag and 535mag he must know what he's talking about. I also saw somewhere in a comparison test that it came out on top. I believe they were using 20 lb test. You could probably do a search and find it.

Sufix Tritanimum Plus in my opinoin is the best line I've found. It has a small diameter for the # test class, the abrasion reisitance is second to none, it is relatively low stretch compared to most monos and is very soft. Great for both hot and cold weather with no memory.
I use the tri plus in 14#, 17# and 20# last spring on the 14# with a DNA 30# shock leader I landed a 51 1/2" red drum at Cape Point NC.
If anyone is going to the Suffern show Sufix will be there check out their abrasion demo its very intresting. And whats neat is he'll (Rusty) is do a side by side comparison of Sufix and any line you want.
Also if you match Tri plus with DNA now call pro mix as a shock leader you'll have a geat combination. With superior knot strength.

Thanks for all the input guys. I got some feedback form the Red Drum tackle posting board as well, and the Sufix line seems to be the outstanding favourite of the leadchuckers in Hatteras too. I just ordered a couple 1# spools of Sufix, to replace the Berkely line,we'll see if it works. :D :D
