Graveling Point 4/7

Well I didnt get my first bass of the year but still had a good time. Kind of a last minute decision b/c of another cancelation. Hit the sod by 9am(i was in no hurry) and fished until 130. had 3 hits that i could detect in that wind but no hookups. oh well. Had to be home for dinner with friends tonight :rolleyes: , i would have loved to be there right now. im sure they are doing well with the low water & high sun. talked to a couple anglers who were walking off and one got the skunk and the other got a short early in the AM. Did see a slot and short get caught in the afternoon. Something tells me that this weekend it will bust wide open at G.P as well as a lot of other places. Too bad its a holiday week b/c i dont think i'll see water again :( until next wednesday. Good luck Fella's.

You should have stuck it out a little longer. There were several nice fish caught at the bottom of the tide. I only got a short but it is getting to be that time. Right as the sun went down there was a school of bait fish that went through.

NS, no problem. feels good to post SOMETHING even if it wasnt productive as far as catching fish.

I knew that was going to happen but a friend of mine was in town and i had to be home. trust me if i could have stayed i would have, infact if i had my choice i would have gotten there around noon and stayed until dark.

You shoud went down tonight. Lots of fish caught at GP and the place around the corner. I got 6 fish but a keeper eluded me. Guys to left and right of me were cathing keepers and was catching babies.

I am not sure about the baitfish. I think they were herring but I am not sure. They were not there tonight.

Work keeps getting in the way of my fishin'!! I might shoot down saturday afternoon for a couple hours. This is Easter weekend and my wedding anniversary as well so i gotta be careful if ya know what i mean! :D

You guys are lucky. I must be seeing you as I have spent atleast 80 hours on Graveling point with nothing Nadda zilch zippo to show for my time. I am there a lot but so far just some hits. Thats it. We should have a get together at graveling point and meet. I don't know anyone from this board so that would be pretty cool.
