The state fish, game & wildlife has set up posts and roped off along the high tide line on the Brigantine beach north end where the state land begins, approx 1500ft north of the entrance. They are marked - Plover Nesting Area.

Looks like they are gonna close off ALL the state land again like they did last year. This will give us surf fishing on only the first 1500ft.

So, if you were planning on those nice early morning bluefish and striper runs this spring up the north end, forget about it. :( this is getting outta hand

What a JOKE, I have attended many meetings on this subject if the bird %$#@*ers have there way you will not be allowed on any beaches, but the same people that propose this have ocean or bay front houses that have destroyed the bird habitat permadently.

And they hit you for $150 a year right? No way I would pay that for Brigantine. There seems to be more issues than the plovers going on up there.
